Jan Erik has more than 30 years of experience as a client. At both American Express and Ameriprise Financial, he lead vendor management offices and managed strategic outsourcing relationships. As an industry analyst at Forrester Research Inc., he conducted and wrote research on the topics of innovation, the future of outsourcing, sourcing models, risk, governance, captive centers, testing and alternative markets. As a service provider at Infosys, he was accountable for helping clients improve the relationship and value they were getting from their outsourcing engagements. At ISG, he has worked as an advisor and consultant assisting clients and service providers implement service integration and management (SIAM) models and the governance processes that support them. Now, as a director and principal analyst with ISG Insights, he continues to research, analyze and write about the industry.

Stanton helps enterprise IT and sourcing leaders rationalize and capitalize on emerging technology opportunities in the context of the global sourcing industry. He brings extensive knowledge of today’s cloud and automation ecosystems, as well as other disruptive trends that are helping to shape and disrupt the business computing landscape. Stanton has been with ISG for more over a decade. During his tenure he has helped clients develop, negotiate and implement cloud infrastructure sourcing strategies, evaluate and select software-as-a-service platforms, identify and implement best-in-class service brokerage models, and assess how the emerging cloud master architecture can be leveraged for competitive advantage. Stanton has also guided a number of leading service providers in the development of next-generation cloud strategies. Bill McNee is the founder and CEO of Saugatuck Technology, which became an ISG business in August of 2015. In addition to leading the new ISG Insights research unit, he spearheads research into evolving business models that are resulting from the shift to cloud and digital business. Bill is an industry analyst and business strategy consultant with more than 25 years of experience in the software/services and media industries. Prior to starting Saugatuck in 2003, Bill worked for Gartner for more than 12 years, the last five as GVP and Research Fellow responsible for guiding the firm’s overall research agenda and leading its IT Management practice focused on CIO governance and sourcing issues. Bill enjoys meeting with both entrepreneurial and established senior business and IT leaders and providers to learn about innovative ways they are adding value for their customers.
Alex conducts research and writes about emerging trends and markets for ISG Insights. He focuses specifically on integration, analytics, social business and super emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality and drones. Alex manages and analyzes survey data, conducts briefings and interviews, and publishes research documents as a part of the ISG Insights team.

Charlie researches the pragmatics of emerging technologies and trends such as cloud infrastructure offerings, converged and hyperconverged platforms, modernization of IT infrastructures and organizations to enable digital business transformation. He recently provided an objective review and recommendations for go-to-market messaging for a major international provider of private cloud offerings and helped a large international provider of IT services and cloud offerings identify market trends and determine new offerings and market positioning. Prior to ISG, Charlie worked for IBM for 26 years, then for Gartner and Giga Information Group, eventually becoming Gartner’s first Client Director and leading a worldwide sales team supporting the world’s largest IT provider to substantial sales growth. Charlie joined Saugatuck Technology in early 2005 as a Research VP to focus on emerging technologies including virtualization, SaaS and cloud offerings.

In his role as leader of ISG Insights’ overall research agenda, Bruce coordinates analysts’ focus on guidance regarding digital disruption, emerging technologies, market shifts and the changing value of enterprise IT for clients’ changing business needs. His own analysis and guidance focus on how disruptive technologies enable business innovation and improvement for enterprise clients, and how these in turn disrupt and reshape software and IT services providers’ business and markets.

Jim brings decades of experience running and managing lines of business in different industries. His ongoing research into digital security, compliance and privacy provides solid guidance about this critical component of digital business. Jim’s research into business intelligence, data mining, data science, analytics and machine learning delivers pragmatic guidance for decision-makers about the strategic and operational imperatives of being a data-driven enterprise. His research into Blockchain focuses on distributed ledgers and their business applications for most industries and markets.
Ron’s research agenda is on the cutting edge of location intelligence, the Internet of Things and application modernization with analysis of market trends, provider positioning, deployment challenges and opportunities. With a passion for bridging the gap between business and technology, Ron helps deliver go-to-market strategies for enterprise solution providers in data science, data management, cloud services and analytics. He also works with vendors to develop and execute sales/marketing strategies, competitive analyses, product roadmaps, profit and loss analyses and pricing plans. His integrated systems view means he looks across technologies and business areas to evaluate true market potential and affects.
